Valois Ambrosino offers advice in all areas of family law. He has extensive experience representing clients in high-conflict cases involving hotly-contested custody/access disputes and complex support and property claims. Val has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has built a successful family law practice as an effective strategist and by delivering results in a cost-effective manner. Val is regularly retained as counsel for appellate matters dealing with complex issues at both the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada. Val also has a successful family law mediation/arbitration practice. He is certified by the ADR Institute of Ontario to conduct family law arbitrations and is certified by the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies at Conrad Grebel University College as having fulfilled the requirements to undertake family law arbitrations in Ontario.

Val has contributed to various publications focusing on business and family law. He has been a member of the Canadian Bar Association, The Advocates’ Society, Toronto Lawyers Association, Peel Law Association, York Region Law Association, and the Canadian Italian Advocates’ Organization. He has been an instructor for the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Bar Admission Course for law school graduates and acted as a mentor for articling students. He has presented various topics about family law at seminars and spoken to secondary school law students about a career in law.

Val obtained his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1994 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996. Prior to law school, Val attended York University where he majored in psychology and history.
